To Do in NoDa Charlotte – Culture Fair

I love my city, I really do. Back in May, a neighbor invited me to the inaugural Culture Fair in NoDa, presented by the Culture Initiative.

Of course, little Jack came along, and since the concrete was so hot, he was held by everyone who would have him. With more foresight, I would have brought his wagon (yes, he happily rides around town in his own wagon). Oh, and Jack had his mohawk fluffed by The Mailroom Barber. His pomades smell seriously amazing and Jack looked so dapper.

There were some awesome vendors at the festival, including my favorite coffee shop – Not Just Coffee. I am the worst for not taking a photo of James’s booth. I also met the owner of Tuft, a vintage furniture rehab store in Plaza Midwood and I was almost recruited to be a Charlotte Roller Girl. Who knows – I might still join. I did figure skate in middle school… Afterward, we indulged in my favorite popsicles from the King of Pops corner stand and headed home for long naps.

Charlotte’s got a lot. Get out and enjoy.
