As we get closer to our own wedding day, I thought I would share with you some of the things we are doing to work within a very tight (think self-employed photographer’s) budget. I’m starting a blog series called Wedding Wednesday and here I will share some tips for brides like me whom they say have “champagne taste on a beer budget!” Today, I want to share some ideas about how I will choose a dress.
Our wedding is going to be very small (around 30 people), so having a less dramatic dress makes sense. My favorite wedding dresses are lacy, comfortable and bohemian, but designers like Claire Pettibone, Grace Loves Lace and Jenny Packham are a little out of my range. This is very challenging, especially when I’ve always had fine taste. Thankfully, I have found some beautiful options on sale at BHLDN and wedding dress rentals via Rent the Runway.
If you have a bigger budget than I, you can get an even more amazing dress for a fraction of the cost at Borrowing Magnolia. But for under $200, I could have any one of these beauties below! Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a while to see which one I choose!
