Last Saturday, my bearded bud, Chris Kale was kind enough to come down to Charlotte and help me develop (pun – hehe) my film photography skills. He let me shoot his Pentax 645n and gave me pointers on metering. I wasn’t sure how I would do with exposure and manual focus, but I surprised myself. I am always my toughest critic!
Two years ago, I shot a little with the Canon AE-1 and the manual focus on that thing was tough. I much prefer the 645n. Film photography is just so dreamy! You can’t match the creaminess of the background with digital. Now, I’m getting really excited for FIND Charlotte!
Now, the Mamiya is a bad camera. I’m not ready for this heavyweight just yet, but Chris sure rocks it!
